Lynn ventured into songwriting, writing and winning the Auckland Country Music Awards, Best Original song for the years, 1992, 1993, 1995 and 1997.

Winner of New Zealand Country Music Songwriter of the Year award also best senior performer, West Auckland Country Music Club.

Finalist, MLT Songwriting Awards, Gore NZ.

Opotiki Charity Concert inaugural Songwriting competition, where Lynn won the best NZ song and came second in the Senior Songwriting section.

Winner of Best Original Song, Westport Best of the West Awards.

Winner of Best Original song, Auckland Country Music Awards.

Finalist NZCMA Songwriter of the Year (Oct. 2005).

For the past 7 years, Lynn has organised and performed in songwriter showcases at the Bay of Islands Country Rock Festival, where she has had the opportunity of meeting many top NZ and Australian entertainers e.g. Laura Downing, Michael King, Carter & Carter, Billy Bridge, Stephen Cheney. She is also in demand as a songwriting/performance judge at Country Music Awards around the North Island.

Lynn is a versatile and professional performer who is constantly in demand to perform concerts of nostalgia music, as well as being a popular choice for restaurants and clubs, where she plays her own unique blend of country, jazz and easy listening contemporary music, She is also part of a duo with either pianist, Julian Russell or guitarist, Kip Tipuna. playing jazz, blues and nostalgic music. Recently Lynn joined 60’s rock n’ roll band, XPRESSO, as bass player and vocalist. She is also available to perform with “The Stardust Band”, featuring songs from her Vera Lynn Tribute show, either as a one hour show or as an evenings entertainment of swing, jazz and nostalgia.

As a songwriter, Lynn is able to produce customized songs for all occasions e.g. weddings, birthdays, anniversaries etc. also jingles and other advertising requirements.

Her voice and style has been likened to such as K. D. Laing, Sarah Vaughn and in the field of nostalgic music, Vera Lynn.
