Alison Hams
Alison Hams
Alison Hams is recognised as one of Australian country music's most
professional and versatile performers.
2004-2005 has proved to be a very busy period indeed for Alison Hams
and her music!
August saw the successful launch of her new, all-original "Daisy
Train" album as well as performances at the Gympie Muster in
Queensland. September then brought a promotional trip to Sydney - and
a full festival of shows with her band at the Mildura Country Music
Festival in Victoria.
By December Alison was back on the east coast performing at
Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL in Sydney, and at the major "Carols in
the Park" concert in her hometown of Whyalla.
January 2005 brought Alison back to Tamworth with performances at
Buttercup Open House, Country Theatre and "Night of Nostalgia" at
Tamworth Town Hall (hosted by John Nutting). She also shared 3
soldout "Concerts in the Chapel" with one of Australias finest
singer/songwriters, Mark Tempany and the acclaimed guitarist Michael
Fix at the Tamworth Conservatorium of Music - an event quickly
becoming a "must-see" during Australia's premier country music event.
This year has already held appearances at Murraylands Country Music
Festival, and in May an international expansion to the Bay of Islands
Country Rock Festival in New Zealand.
Alison’s musical journey has seen her make an exploratory trip to
Nashville, performing in a number of venues - and be a finalist in
both the T.I.A.R.A. and TSA Awards. In Tamworth in January 2003
Alison was a Grand Finalist in TOYOTA STAR MAKER – arguably
Australia’s greatest professional talent search.
Alison has supported many major recording artists including Lee
Kernaghan, and recently she has travelled to Sydney for co-writing
sessions with Gina Jeffreys, as well as maintaining a regular
programme of appearances with her band, September Express, and as a
solo artist at major festivals like Mildura and Gympie.
Also a graduate from the CMAA College of Country Music, Alison and
her music are making a real impression on industry powerbrokers – and
some very exciting prospects are currently on the horizon, including
a recently agreed endorsement deal with innovative American guitar
company, DAISY ROCK.
The success of "Daisy Train" is continuing – with audiences
everywhere reacting immediately to Alison’s unique blend of vocal,
instrumental and songwriting excellence, and her public profile
expanding rapidly with features in the radio and print media’s – and
a recent live performance on Bert Newton’s "Good Morning Australia"
television show across Australia on the TEN network.
